ASSISTANCE & BUILDS.

MDS was the fabrication partner for Wieden+Kennedy and five talented local artists to fabricate custom sculptures and works of art for Delta Airways Art Basel installation. We utilized recycled materials from aviation parts as well as other materials used for air travel.

The exhibit took place over the course of one evening at the 1111 building on South Beach.

Constructed a large multi-colored plinth for Derek Abella made from MDF with custom food tray inserts painted by the artist.
Helped Olivia Pedigo construct a custom steel & powder coated white base for jet engine blades to sit in, and apply custom vinyls to the both sides of the blades.
Assisted Emmett Moore with install of artist’s installation.
Created lenticular prints for Elliot & Eric Jimenez and customized window belt from a used Delta plane.
Constructed aluminum supports along with MDF & wood Plinth for Jillian Mayer, and created custom brackets to suspend her glass artworks.
